CAM: Self Help Graphics & Art in Boyle Heights, California will be having there annual print fair & exhibition Sunday, June 24th. Here is a great opportunity for collectors to purchase beautiful Chicano art prints by many artist and support SHG and the arts. Plus this years artist line up is awesome, with such artist as Sandra de la Loza, Shizu Saldamando, Judithe Hernandez (Los Four) and Patssi Valdez (ASCO) . For those of you who are not familiar with SHG (Self Help Graphics & Art), they are one of the few Los Angeles Chicano related instititutions that still exist from the Chicano Art Movement of the 70’s. I have made it out to Self Help Graphics annual print sale in 2009 when they were located in East Los Angeles (Cesar Chavez & Gage). It was a great experience to visit a building where some of my favorite artist have produced art under the same roof. If you are collector or just enjoy Chicano art, SHG is one of those intitituions you must visit. Most if not all Los Angeles Chicano artist have produced art at one time in their lives at Self Help Graphics & Art. This place is rich in Los Angeles and Chicano Art History. Support!
